This morning, Sven took a diaper (a clean, one. he insists to pick one before he needs to be changed), put it to his ear and said: Hello, kaka?

Do I need to say I laughed. A lot. For a long time. He is a very funny kid. Cannot belive he will be two soon.

He just couldn’t wait. As soon as he woke up, he put all his gear on (all, even the helmet) and wanted to get out into fresh snow. This is the most snow he has seen in his life. One happy kid. (last night when they finally came to the hotel, he told my husband – “I have never been so cold in my life”).

knitting ruffles

I liked the idea of knitting ruffles. It takes some time, but I really like the results. This is my swatch for a new short sleeve sweater I am planning – probably in size 6 with some ruffles around the neck and sleeves. The yarn is upcycled from an old sweater – hardly worn at all – 100% cotton with a bit of sheen to it. I like it. As soon as I am done with the little sweater I am working on right now (I have maybe 10% left) I will start this one.

I made these for Luka’s teachers – the middle one is for his classroom teacher and the other two for the teacher’s assistants. As always, I did these last minute so I had time only for Luka’s teachers – Sven’s teachers received nicely wrapped candy. What can you do!
